the other morning around 4 there was a raven in the tree outside our window, the bird didn't wake me up, but anthony yelling at the bird sure did :)
I think noisy birds are an ok tradeoff for having SO many more hours of light...I function much better when it's light in the morning when I wake up, and also when the evenings are so long and glorious. And now that the sun's back, yay!
Our cat, Boots, has zeroed in on our open bedroom window, and insists on getting us up to let him in.....I crawl along to the front door, he flies in and with the door open, standing in my night shirt, I get to hear the birds too...last night it was 2:56 am and those robins were goin' at it! It's when the paper deliverer gets to the front door the same time I get to the front door......yikes!

Yes, the birds here are equally stupid. Sleeping with the window shut can help.
